this whole not-having-a-job thing is really getting old. i know in today's economy i really can't/shouldn't bitch about being out of work for less than a month, especially with two prospects on my horizons, but i'm going a bit stir crazy. joe's been working practically non-stop since we got back from our trip so i've barely seen him except for a few hours on sunday and then the half asleep moments between him coming home/going to bed/getting up/going to work. it's kind of a bummer, man.

it's not like i haven't done ANYTHING. i painted an accent wall in the spare room and i really like the colour it turned out to be...you never can be entirely sure with those paint cards at lowe's...anyway i put the second coat on last night but i can't decide if it needs another coat or not...gonna wait and see what joe thinks. if he doesn't think i need one then i can start doin stuff in there...setting up my vanity, maybe unpack some clothes.

woot.

i think i might just need to get out of the house...have some interactions with creatures of the two-legged variety. now if only i can find a cheap/free way to have fun in this new city i hardly know anything about, we'll be all set.

guess it's a funky sorta day....

when she comes home....

hello friends.

welcome to my little mind trip.

do you have any idea how hard it is to type with a beagle curled up on your arm? yea...that's my life right now.

had an interview this morning at bronson. it was a little intimidating - was a group interview with the staffing coordinator for the unit and another manager and two floor nurses. the educator was supposed to be there too but she wasn't able to make it. anyways, we all sat around a table and they asked me a bunch of questions...typical stuff like when was a time you had to advocate for a patient and what did you do and have you had a situation where you didn't get along with a coworker and how did you handle it..that sort of thing. it was kinda scary but you could tell they were trying to keep it relaxed. i thought it went fairly well and the manager walked me out and shook my hand a few times and told me he didn't think i had anything to worry about. that made me smile :) then i drove back home (still weird to call joe's place "home"...) and by the time i got here and said hello to the dogs the other manager called and said that i was "an excellent candidate" and that she would be forwarding my information to HR...said she wasn't able to offer me the job herself but that she was going to tell HR to offer me a position "immediately"...which is good since i'm unemployed and i like nice things. :) so waitin on that...i also am still kinda hoping zeeland calls about the travel gig. that was damn good money....we will have to see what bronson puts on the table. will keep you posted...

*sighs contentedly* i missed blogging :)
